The Black Sea is a unique marine ecosystem with high ecological, economic, and geopolitical importance. Yet pollution, overfishing, coastal pressure, and climate change increasingly threaten its biodiversity and sustainable use.

DINO-PATH focuses on Russian sturgeon, one of the ancient and critically endangered migratory species of the Black Sea. The project uses advanced telemetry technologies, digital mapping, and data analysis to investigate migration routes, habitat use, and movement patterns.

Beyond scientific research, DINO-PATH strengthens international cooperation, develops research capacity, supports young researchers, and contributes to the establishment of a Black Sea Fish Telemetry Network.
